I'm Rakshith Bangalore. I build intelligence into machines, from humanoid platforms and mobile manipulators to the production AI I lead today. The thread is the same: getting models to hold up in systems that have to work in the real world.

A robotics engineer who builds intelligence into machines. Several years across humanoid R&D, mobile manipulation and manufacturing automation, now project manager for PodCut and GoBox. Based between the United Kingdom and Singapore.

Approach

The model is rarely what makes or breaks a system. Everything around it is. A controller that holds up in simulation and fails against a real actuator is the same failure as an AI feature that demos well and falls over on the fifth job of the day. I identify the system before I trust it.

Industry 4.0 mobile manipulator

MEng capstone · Scoped with Walkers

A Universal Robots UR-10 arm on an Omron LD250 autonomous base, in a custom frame enclosing the power systems and controller, with a SmartShift tool changer for swapping end effectors. Scoped with a senior automation director around the real workflow of a Leicester crisp factory — reloading seasoning, palletising cases, and leak-detection over the fryers. Designed in Fusion 360 and physically integrated; pick-and-place validated on a conveyor rig.

Humanoid robotics

PepsiCo · Unitree H1-2 & G1

Use-case programming on humanoid platforms: training neural policies for legged control and working the sim-to-real gap on real hardware, where a controller that behaves in simulation comes apart against a real actuator. Actuator identification, and the failure modes that only appear once a controller leaves simulation.

Laparoscopic surgery trainer

Project manager · 8-month build

Project manager on an eight-month build of a next-generation trainer: a compliant robotic mechanism designed and programmed to give surgeons realistic force feedback during practice.

Autonomous palletising robots

Industrial automation

Designed autonomous mobile robots for industrial palletising, moving packed cases through a working production environment.
